Are you looking for success stories of people who have taken a career training course or program offered in Boise, Idaho? Look no further! The School of Business and Economics (COBE) has a wealth of resources to help you find out more about the success stories of students and recent graduates who have benefited from their professional services. From organizing large career fairs and networking events to meeting one-on-one with a professional specialist and providing students with useful resources, such as the curriculum vitae and the Skype room, COBE's professional services can help you no matter how much help you need. My advice to other COBE students is to get involved in school programs and internships early in their academic careers to guide them to what they want to do in the future. Working with COBE Career Services gave me incredible confidence during my interviews, which showed that I can better meet the requirements of my employer; and the support didn't stop after receiving an internship, but rather, COBE Career Services continued to offer me additional support by helping me add my achievements to my portfolio and improve my profile each time. My professional advisor, Monique, guided me in the creation and improvement of my resume, in addition to helping me establish an online presence through LinkedIn.
All of the following training courses are organized by DHR and these classes are only available to current employees in the state of Idaho. The mission of the Idaho Youth Challenge Academy is to intervene and recover the lives of 16 to 18 year olds who dropped out of high school, training program graduates with the values, life skills, education and self-discipline needed to succeed as responsible and productive citizens of Idaho. The Professional Services team played an invaluable role in preparing for the hiring season, and I met with them frequently to review my resume and participate in mock interviews. Through classes, teachers, and professional services, students can participate in the Idaho business community. I recommend that all students visit COBE Professional Services throughout their university careers and not wait until their final year to start thinking about careers after graduating. I visited COBE Career Services in my first semester to discuss what I could do to prepare for internships.
Since working with COBE Career Services and taking up my position at Deloitte, I am confident that I will be successful in public accounting and in my career. I participated in career fairs and workshops, used the Career Closet to my advantage, and made appointments with staff to help me with my resume and cover letters. People are usually happy to help, and I was able to use my relationships in a department to create relationships in the department I wanted to end up in. The success stories of those who have taken advantage of career training courses offered by COBE are inspiring. From organizing large career fairs and networking events to meeting one-on-one with a professional specialist and providing students with useful resources such as curriculum vitae and Skype rooms, COBE's professional services can help you no matter how much help you need.
